Overview
XGforce published this Acceptable Use policy as part of our overall effort to provide high quality, reliable service to our customers, to protect the security of our customers, systems, and networks, and to comply with applicable laws. 

This policy applies to all customers of XGforce's IP services, and to all other users of the XGforce IP Network. 

Prohibited Uses
Uses of the XGforce IP Network described below are prohibited under this policy. These descriptions are guidelines and are not intended to be exhaustive.

Illegal Activity
The XGforce IP Network may not be used in connection with criminal or civil violations of state, federal, or international laws, regulations. Such violations include, but not limited to, theft or infringement of copyrights, trademarks, or any types of intellectual property, fraud, forgery, theft of funds, credit cards, or personal information, and threats of harm or harassment.

Security Violations and Abusive Use
The XGforce IP Network may not be used in connection to violate the security of a network, service, or other system. Examples of prohibited activities include, but not limited to, hacking, cracking, or using systems without authorization, distributing viruses or other harmful software, conducting network attacks such as denial of service attacks, or flooding IP networks.

XGforce customers are responsible for maintaining the basic security of their systems to prevent others to violates this policy.  These include, but not limited to, 

  • Open relay mail server

  • Open FTP server used to illegally distribute licensed software

  • Intentionally operating server with security holes

Customers are responsible for taking corrective actions on vulnerable or exploited systems to prevent potential abuse and hacking.

Spam
Spam is an unacceptable use of the XGforce IP Network. Spam includes any of the following activities:

  • Posting a single message to more than five newsgroups.
  • Sending any unsolicited porn related emails.
  • Sending emails with charity requests, petitions for signatures, or any chain mail related materials.
  • Sending emails that do not provide the remove feature.
  • Sending emails that is not verified Opt-In.

This policy applies to any email or content transmitted, which uses an XGforce account for responses or promotes content hosted or transmitted using XGforce facilities, or which indicates in any way that XGforce was involved in the transmission of such email or content.

Consequences
It is XGforce's preference to give warnings so that violations may be resolved. Violations of this policy may result in a demand for immediate removal of offending material, suspension or termination of service if violations can not be resolved voluntarily.

XGforce will cooperate with law enforcement if criminal activity is suspected. Refunds or credits are not issued in connection with actions taken for violations of this policy.

Reporting
Any complaints regarding violations of this policy by an XGforce customer should be directed to abuse@xgforce.com, including details, such as E-Mail headers and a copy of the offending transmission that would assist XGforce in investigating and resolving the complaint.
